Athletic Mind brings mental performance and mental care together in one product. This sample report brings twelve measures together: athlete participation, trust and usefulness, coach involvement, support connections, team wellbeing and interest in continuing. It shows how a department can review a pilot and plan its next steps.
Participation benchmarks are three times per week. Counts, feedback and wellbeing trends add context to the review.
All results below are illustrative. Team-wide targets and feedback thresholds are agreed before each pilot. Measures without a success threshold are reported descriptively.
| Measure | How it is measured | Sample result | Readout |
|---|---|---|---|
| Baseline completionStarting Point assessment | Completed baselines / enrolled athletes | 42 of 4495% | Completion coverage |
| Weekly check-in participation | Share of eligible athlete-weeks with check-ins on at least 3 distinct days | 88% | 3 days per week |
| Assigned practice completion | Share of eligible athlete-weeks with at least 3 completed assigned practices | 85% | 3 practices per week |
| Overall weekly participation | Share of eligible athlete-weeks with both a check-in and a completed practice on at least 3 distinct days | 83% | 3 paired days per week |
| Athlete trust | Average latest trust score per responding athlete in the review window | 8.4 / 1036 of 44 athletes responded | Respondent feedback |
| Coach Check-In Completion | Completed Coach Check-Ins / scheduled check-ins | 20 of 2483% | Every two weeks in this example |
| Potential crises flagged for review | Distinct qualifying incidents; repeat alerts for the same incident counted once | 6 | Descriptive count |
| Confirmed connection to care | Incidents with a confirmed care connection / flagged incidents determined to need care | 4 of 580%; 1 pending, 0 declined | Applies when care is needed |
| Athlete-reported usefulness | Share answering yes: “Is Athletic Mind giving you something useful for handling the pressures of your sport?” | 30 of 3683%; 36 of 44 responded | Reported practical value |
| Coach-reported usefulness | Share answering yes: “Did the information from Athletic Mind help you decide how to support your team?” | 3 of 475%; 4 of 4 responded | Latest response per coach |
| Team Wellness TrendReported team wellbeing | Weekly average of athlete-level check-in readiness averages, with response coverage | 3.2 → 3.51–5 scale; 36 → 38 contributors | Descriptive trend |
| Athletes who want to continue | Share answering yes: “Would you choose to keep using Athletic Mind?” | 31 of 3686%; 36 of 44 responded | Stated intent at pilot end |
The weekly view shows how many athletes completed both a check-in and an assigned practice on at least three days. Separate check-in and practice measures help explain where participation needs support.
Illustrative weekly counts use 44 eligible athletes. Review lower-participation weeks with the team before choosing an adjustment.
| Window | Readiness, 1–5 | Contributors |
|---|---|---|
| Week 1 | 3.2 | 36 of 44 |
| Week 12 | 3.5 | 38 of 44 |
Average each athlete’s check-in readiness responses within the week, then average across athletes. Each contributor has equal weight.
This describes reported readiness as one aspect of wellbeing. Changing respondents can shift the average. Clinical improvement and program impact require separate evidence.
In this illustrative example, six distinct incidents were flagged for review. Five were determined to need care. Four had a confirmed connection, and one remained pending at the reporting cutoff.
distinct qualifying incidents
incidents requiring a care connection
confirmed care connections
0 declined at the reporting cutoff
Count incidents once and confirm connections with the receiving care service. Providing a resource or initiating a handoff is recorded separately from a confirmed connection.
With no qualifying flags, report “No qualifying incidents flagged.” If no incidents require care, connection to care is “Not applicable this period.” Neither case receives an automatic success or failure score.
Bring the scorecard together with the records behind it. Mental performance records show participation and athlete feedback. Mental care records document screening, concern review and care connections. Authorized reviewers access each record according to their role and the applicable consent rules.
Report Starting Point completion here. Record any annual mental-health screening separately, including the instrument, completion date and responsible clinical provider.
Keep eligible athlete-weeks, completed practices and scheduled Coach Check-Ins alongside the reported percentages.
Keep incident review, care-needed decisions and confirmed connection records distinct. Follow up on pending cases.

“I found out two of my players were struggling weeks before I would have noticed on my own.”
“It fits into what we already do. They check in like they check hydration.”
“After a bad meet, Nora asked how I was doing, and I actually answered.”
This example enrolled 44 athletes from a 48-athlete invitation group. A department rollout would extend the participation routine and support pathway across about 460 athletes, with targets and staffing agreed during the results review.

Sample package: the school, numbers and quotes on this page are illustrative and show the format of an Athletic Mind pilot report. Real reports use the measures, collection methods and targets agreed with each school before the pilot begins. Illustrative values do not establish benchmarks or confirm that every collection workflow is active.
Department reports use approved aggregate data. Individual screening and clinical details follow the applicable consent and access rules. Team Wellness Trend is shown only when the agreed minimum contributor count is met; otherwise it is suppressed. Small incident and feedback groups also require a disclosure review before sharing.
Weekly participation uses eligible athlete-weeks. Weeks with fewer than three eligible days or fewer than three assigned practice opportunities are shown separately from the corresponding three-per-week measure. Count each assigned practice once. Explain pauses, withdrawals and other exclusions alongside the denominator. Overall participation overlaps with the check-in and practice measures and is not a third independent outcome.
For feedback, report the latest response per person in the stated window and show nonresponse. Yes shares use all valid responses to the question. Continuation measures stated intent. Missing observations are shown as unavailable, rather than zero. Baseline completion describes the Starting Point assessment and makes no annual screening compliance claim.
